Creating a New Mindset – Steve Spangler’s STEM Conference
STEM isn’t just about the obvious – science, technology, engineering and math… it’s about creating opportunity for children to think […]
Anyone and everyone who is in the business of space makes an annual pilgrimage to Colorado Springs in April to attend the world-famous Space Symposium. Just walking through the exhibit hall is an awe-inspiring event as you rub elbows with top officials from the military to every civilian contractor who supports the many facets of space exploration.
I was honored to keynote the International Teacher Liaison Breakfast sponsored by Space Foundation and ISS National Lab. Nearly 350 teachers from around the globe serve as educational ambassadors for all things related to space. My sincere thanks to Courtney Black and Samantha Thorstensen from ISS National Lab for their efforts to make sure all of the teacher ambassadors took home a copy of my latest book and an Energy Stick to help build some learning connections back home with their students.
If you’re ever in the Colorado Springs area and you love all things space, you owe it to yourself to visit the Space Foundation Discovery Center. The museum has some wonderful, interactive exhibits for visitors of all ages. Jennie Anderson and her crew at Discovery Center will make sure your experience is unforgettable.
