Everyday STEM for Little Sprouts Comes to Minot

Steve Spangler Visits Minot Head Start Teachers with his Hands-on Science Teacher Workshop

I like the way these people think. Karen Karen Knowles, Director of Minot Head Start, reached out for an end-of-year professional development workshop for her teachers. “STEM is an important aspect of our early childhood curriculum. That’s why we brought Steve Spangler out to help us create STEM experiences that will help our children fall in love with science,” said Karen Knowles.

As you’ll see in the photos, these early childhood teachers are eager to roll up their sleeves and dive in.

Minot Early Head Start offers comprehensive child development programs that serve eligible children birth to age 5 and pregnant women. The program is child focused and strives to increase school readiness and social competence in our young children and families. Head Start has been operating in Minot since 1968.
